DESCRIPTION:Michigan ATSA is partnering with Dr. Michael Seto to provide a 
 training in the Child Pornography Offender Risk Tool (CPORT).\n\nThe Child
  Pornography Offender Risk Tool (CPORT) is a seven-item structured checkli
 st to assess the likelihood of future sexual recidivism among adult male o
 ffenders with a conviction for child pornography offenses.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nD

 to 50 participants.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nLearning Objectives:\n\nIn this 4-hour w
 orkshop\, Dr. Seto will provide an overview of relevant research on online
  sexual offending to provide the context for the development and validatio
 n of the Child Pornography Offender Risk Tool (CPORT)\, which is the only 
 CSEM offender specific risk assessment tool to have shown predictive valid
 ity for sexual recidivism. Dr. Seto will describe the application of the C
 PORT with adult men who have committed an internet offense. He will also d
 escribe the companion measure\, the Correlates of Sexual Interest in Child
 ren Scale (CASIC). Suggested uses of the CPORT and CASIC will be discussed
  with examples.\n\n1.Describe the offending histories and recidivism rates
  of child sexual exploitation material (CSEM) offenders.\n2. Understand th
 e items on the Child Pornography Offender Risk Tool\n3. Understand the ite
 ms on the Correlates of Admission of Sexual Interest in Children measure\n
 \n&nbsp\;\n\nSpeaker Biography:\n\nDr. Michael Seto is a registered clinic
 al and forensic psychologist and currently a research director with the Ro
 yal Ottawa Health Care Group\, as well as Professor in Psychiatry at the U
 niversity of Ottawa. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Sexual Abuse
 \, the ATSA journal. Dr. Seto has published extensively on pedophilia\, se
 xual offending against children and online offending. He regularly present
 s at scientific meetings and professional workshops on these topics. He ha
 s written well-reviewed books on pedophilia and sexual offending against c
 hildren (2008\, second edition in 2018)  and on internet sex offenders (2
 013)\, all published by the American Psychological Association.\n\n&nbsp\;
