ve behaviors presents unique challenges for supervision and treatment. Thi
s comprehensive and interactive training will focus on three key areas in
the consideration of the potential role of pornography in the supervision
and treatment of those who have sexually offended. We will review the hist
ory of pornography\, types and genres of pornography\, and the social\, mo
ral\, and legal reactions to varying forms of sexually explicit materials.
We then examine the empirical research on the role of pornography in the
commission of sexual offenses as well as the risk factors associated with
recidivism. We discuss the treatment and policy implications of both the h
