SUMMARY:Risk of Sexual Abuse of Children (ROSAC) training with Bob McGrath
DESCRIPTION:MI-ATSA will be partnering with Bob McGrath to provide a traini
 ng on the Risk of Sexual Abuse of Children (ROSAC) assessment. The ROSAC i
 s a structured assessment tool intended to help professionals assess “th
 e risk an adult male sexual abuser poses to a particular child and under w
 hat circumstances\, if any\, the abuser might be allowed contact with the 
 child” (robertmcgrath.us).\n\nBob McGrath\, who helped develop the asses
 sment tool\, will provide a training on the ROSAC assessment in order to a
 ssist professionals in their work with people who have committed sexual of

 ructed and scored\n 	Learn how to score and use the ROSAC to make risk det
 erminations\n 	Learn how to use ROSAC risk determinations to develop basic

 \nBob has over 35 years of experience providing clinical\, consulting\, t
 raining\, and research services focused on assessing\, treating\, and mana
 ging individuals who have committed sexual offenses. He is the 2015 reci
 pient of the Lifetime Significant Achievement Award from the Associati
 on for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).\n\nTraining and Consultatio
 n. Bob has provided training and consulting services to mental health\, c
 riminal justice\, and victim advocacy groups in over 45 states and through
 out Canada\, Europe\, and Asia. He has served on the treatment advisory bo
 ards and accreditation panels of the national sex offender treatment progr
 ams in Canada\, the United Kingdom\, and Hong Kong. In the United States\,
  he has consulted to twelve sexual violent predator civil commitment progr
 ams and numerous prison\, probation\, and parole programs. In Vermont\, he
  is a consultant to the state’s Developmental Disabilities Division and 
 the Department of Children and Families.\n\nProgram Administration. Bob se
 rved as Clinical Director of the Vermont Department of Corrections integ
 rated network of prison and community sex offender treatment programs from
  1996 to 2015. He has served as Clinical Director of Adult Mental Health S
 ervices and Director of Substance Abuse Programs in community mental healt
 h settings. He is a past President of the Safer Society Foundation Board
  of Directors.\n\nClinical Services. As a licensed psychologist-master\, 
 Bob provided direct sex offender assessment and treatment services in comm
 unity and prison settings for over 30 years. He was Co-Chair of the  Pro
 fessional Issues Committee that developed the Association for the Treatme
 nt of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) 2014 Practice Guidelines for the Assessment\, 
 Treatment\, and Management of Male Adult Sexual Abusers.\n\nResearch. Amo
 ng his over 50 publications\, Bob is co-author of the books Supervision o
 f the Sex Offender and Current Practices and Emerging Trends in Sexual A
 buser Management. He is a co-developer of the ROSAC\, SOTIPS\, and VAS
 OR-2 risk assessment instruments. His research has been supported by gr
 ants from the U.S. Department of Justice\, Center for Sex Offender Manage
 ment\, and Corrections Research at Public Safety Canada.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nP
