Resources

The Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse is an international, multi-disciplinary organization dedicated to preventing sexual abuse. ATSA promotes sound research, effective evidence-based practice, informed public policy, and collaborative community strategies that lead to the effective assessment, treatment, and management of individuals who have sexually abused or are at risk to abuse.

Michigan ATSA is the state-based chapter of ATSA for Michigan. MI-ATSA seeks to promote the mission of ATSA within the state.

Safer Society Foundation’s mission is to provide services and resources for preventive and restorative responses to sexual and social violence. Safer Society Press publishes books and media for the treatment and prevention of sexual abuse and social violence, as well as opportunities for continuing education trainings.

Helping Survivors is part of a growing movement of concerned citizens, survivors, and professionals working to provide resources and education for survivors of sexual assault and abuse. The mission of the Helping Survivors group is to heal, educate, and empower survivors of sexual abuse, sexual violence, and domestic violence. 

Funded and administered by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), the National Reentry Resource Center (NRRC) is the nation’s primary source of information and guidance in reentry.

The Michigan Citizens for Justice provides support and advocacy groups for people affected by Michigan’s sex offense laws. Peer-led meetings are available in Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, and online.

Managed by the Center for Effective Public Policy until 2019, the Center for Sex Offender Management has developed resources for a variety of topics related to working with individuals following a sexual offense. Resources available on the CEPP website
