What committees do you serve on?
Research and scholarships

Why did you join the Board?
I wanted to be a more active participant in achieving the goal of no more victims. I also wanted to
collaborate with practitioners and to learn more about the clinical, medical, and legal aspects of the
problem of sexual abuse.

What is your favorite quote?
I have so many, and most are Big Sean or Jay-Z lyrics. But one quote that has stuck with me is “In
consiliis nostris fatum nostrum est” or “In our choices lie our fate.”

Hobbies? Fun-Facts?
I love traveling. I have celebrated my birthday on three different continents. I love dancing, albeit very
poorly. I also discovered a love of hip hop late in life – not until I was 30 years old.

What is your favorite book or author?
Again, I have so many. But some of my favorite authors are Herman Hesse, Albert Camus, and Isabel
Allende

What is your favorite food?
BREAD and CHEESE. Anything bread and cheese. And ice cream.

What is your favorite movie or TV show?
Pan’s Labryinth

What was the last book you read?
Nightmare Alley by William Lindsay Gresham

How did you become involved with sex offender treatment/supervision?
I interned as an undergrad student in an outpatient treatment center. I began conducting research on
sexual offending as an undergrad and have done so ever since.

What are your professional goals for the next year?
To continue to build relationships with folks across disciplines to work for change

What are some changes in the field clinically or legislatively you advocate or want to advocate for?
I want legislation based on facts and evidence, not fear or politics.
