This training provides a review of personality development and its role in problematic sexual behaviour. With this understanding clinical applications will be described with an emphasis on therapeutic approaches and techniques to improve client outcomes and prevent clinician burnout.

Presenter Biography:

Heather Moulden is a Psychologist in the Forensic Psychiatry Program, and Clinical Chair in Sexual Disorders, at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. Heather has authored over 50 publications, and has presented at scholarly conferences both nationally and internationally. She is the Sexual Disorders section co-editor of Current Psychiatry Reports, and an editorial board member of Sexual Abuse, the Journal of Child Sexual Abuse, and Frontiers in Psychiatry. Heather is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse, where she has also been recognized as a Fellow for her clinical and research work.
