Letter from the President – March 2019

A great deal has been going on behind the scenes for Michigan ATSA. We have expanded our board to include Kris Pence, M.A., L.P.C., and Toni Crocilla, PsyD, L.P., C.S.O.T.P. We have reorganized the board to include subcommittees, including a technical communications committee, written communications committee, and training committee.

The technical communications committee is focused on improving our internet presence, including redeveloping the MI-ATSA website (miatsa.org). Included is a member directory, the ability for members to register for their yearly membership and conferences, community resources, and other local resources and training.

The written communications committee is working on content that would be posted to the website, including communications such as our board minutes, monthly updates of news, articles, or other features, and this president’s update letter.

The training committee is focusing on the October conference devoted to understanding normative child sexual behaviors. More details to come soon!

Our aim is to make MI-ATSA a more useful, visible, and responsive organization that can assist members in staying up to date on state of the art options within the sex offender treatment field.

As a board, we welcome your input about how we can be most useful to you, our members.

Sincerely,

David J. Berghuis, M.A., L.L.P.
